The design of the construction of this roof has been conceived by the Institute of Ceramic Technology of Castellón for the CEVISAMA 2019 exhibition located in Valencia.
The structure consists of 6 modules of 4.8m x 4.8m that are suspended at a height of 10m on a grid of cables located at 15m height.
At the time of defining the structure we established three large groups of elements:
1. The structural modules on which the sheets of paper hang
2. The vertical cables that connect these modules to the upper structure
3. The horizontal grid of cables located at a height of 15.35m with respect to the ground floor.
The actions that have been carried out in the object of this project have consisted in the analysis and verification of the different elements that make up the supporting structure. To do this, a three-dimensional calculation model based on the deformations measured in situ and facilitated by the Institute of Ceramic Technology of Castellón has been generated. On this model, the relevant loads have been implemented for subsequent validation.
Additionally, the necessary calculations have been made to ensure the connections to the existing structure.
