In the Port of Tarragona, a large grain unloading crane was out of service, which Activa Lead Consulting was responsible for dismantling.

The organic remains of grain inside the crane made the subdivision of the boom into smaller sections that facilitated the dismantling operations unfeasible, so it was decided to disassemble the boom in a single piece, for which Activa Lead Consulting asked us to study its own weight and anchor points for lifting by means of external cranes.

The result was the lifting of a 206-ton heavy piece through three heavy-duty cranes in a successful operation.
