The object of this study was the parish church of Sant Jaume located in the town of Els Garidells (Tarragona), whose construction dates from the eighteenth or early nineteenth century. The church is configured in a building of a single block with side chapels and flat apse. The building is covered with a main barrel vault with lateral lunettes, and the chapels, with small barrel vaults perpendicular to the central building.

Windmill carried out the structural safety evaluation of the monument. The church has cracking in the vaults of the central block, main facade, lateral chapels and paving of one of the ends of the complex.

During the visual inspection of the church, indications were found that indicated a possible differential movement in the foundations. Thus, it is worth mentioning the analysis carried out to simulate the behavior of the foundation supported on different strata, with greater deformability in the north wing than in the south wing of the building. The study was based on identifying the fissuration occurred and checking its correspondence with the calculation model.
